Create VPN tunnel:
Login to Sonic Wall
Click
users
on left hand side
Click
local users
Click
Add user
Set login name/password
Add to LAN SUBNETS
The information necessary to connect through a VPN tunnel will be: User name, password, Preshared Key and Public IP
Find the Preshared Key:
Click Wizard on the top right corner when logged into Sonic Wall
Choose
VPN Wizard
and click
Next
Choose either
Site-to-Site
or
Wan GroupVPN
and click
Next
The Pre-Shared key will be displayed in the following window
Sonic Wall Global VPN Client - connect to public IP of firewall
Once the Sonic Wall Global VPN Client is installed do the following to setup VPN access
Click File and select New
Click Next, choose Remote Access and click Next again
Type in the Public IP address in the IP Address or Domain Name field
Type in a memorable name in the Connection name field, click Next and then click Finish
Right click the newly created connection and choose Enable
If correctly configured you will first be asked for the Pre-Shared Key
If the PSK is correct you will then be asked for Username and Password (User name is case sensitive)
If all the information is entered correctly you will connect to the network through the configured VPN tunnel
